Tonight will make Rolly Dollar history. Okay, so I know I don’t exactly have a historic history, but this is pretty big for me. Ready to hear about it?
I’m going to be live-blogging during the Bowl Championship Series Selection Show tonight starting at 8 p.m Eastern Time. I will continuously update the post with the match-ups and my take on them. Will LSU get a shot at the national championship? Will Ohio State be their foe? Be back here at 8 p.m. tonight for the festivities…
8:00 The show is starting… Allstate started off with a great ad about how nobody cares who the kicker is. Until you need him. The show is starting now…
8:05 Hawaii is in the Sugar Bowl… but with who? The fans in Hawaii are fired up, and rightly so. Apparently, Hawaii has a great offense…
8:10 More ads… They have this little tactic to keep us watching: they are going to show the Pontiac Game Changing Performance Nominees of the year. Then they’ll show the rest of the teams. Maybe the commitee is stumped and needs more time? Yet more ads… In twelve minutes, all they’ve said is that Hawaii is in the Sugar Bowl…
8:15 Three major bowls have been announced. In the Rose Bowl is USC and Illinois, and in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl is Oklahoma and West Virginia. The Orange Bowl will feature Kansas vs. Virginia Tech. For each team, they did a short rundown. Now all that remains is the National Campionship… But I’ll have to sit through yet more ads first…
8:20 Hawaii’s opponent in the Sugar Bowl is Georgia… And now for the National Championship. It’s a huge surprise (sarcasm) that LSU and Ohio State will battle it out… Should be a great game!
And this is where it ends for my first experience at live blogging folks. It doesn’t make much sense to stick around for bowls such as the Weedeater and the Meineke Car Care Bowl. I hope you enjoyed my views, and I hope you all enjoy the games!
